Since 1900 John W. ‘Happy’ Deards and his cat has been foreman of the Senate folding room which carries with it the responsibility of guarding thousands of volumes of Senate records including congressional records, agriculture yearbooks, senatorial eulogies, I.C.C. reports and books on horses and cattle.
